DAR Sponsors Contest for Girls In High School Id* Senior girl students in Washington Washington C. H. High School and high schools throughout the state of Ohio are eligible to compete in a Good Citizenship Pilgrimage contest, sponsored this year for the eleventh Erne by the Daughters Daughters of the American Revolution, Mrs. Walter P. Thompson, chairman chairman of the Washington C. H. Chapter, DAR Good Citizenship Pilgrimage committee said today. Thi^ test is held in each high school on Wednesday, February seventh, and will have ISO item1 covering citizenship, civics, Ohio history, United States history and some current events, she said. The girl making the highest score rn her respective school is admitted to compete for state honors. The educational advisory committee will supervise the preparation of the test, and will select the state first prize winner and five additional winners for state honors. Again this year, due to war conditions, the DAR-wtll not be able to give the state winner a free visit to Washington, D. C. as was formerly done; however, a hundred dollar war bond will be awarded instead. The five aditional winners will be given a free trip to the State DAR conference. Mrs. Lester A.
