M055WOOD PARK ALSO MAY TAKE . M'ARTHUR'S NAME Following up the re-naming re-naming re-naming of the Moss Avenue approach to the Bay Bridge in honor of Gen. Douglas Douglas MacArthur, the Oakland Park Board is considering changing the name of Mosswood Park to Mac-Arthur Mac-Arthur Mac-Arthur Park. The park-, park-, park-, located at Broadway and what was formerly Moss Av enue, has an area of eight acres. For more than 30 years it has been known as Mosswood Park. The proposal was referred to City Attorney F. Bert Fernhoff for an oplnicm. as to whether the former private estate became a park with a stipulation that its permanent name be Mosswood. William W. Hoffman, vice-president vice-president vice-president vice-president of the Park Board pointed out that the re-naming re-naming re-naming was in order in asmuch as the City Council decided to re-name re-name re-name the dozen streets which form the Bay Bridge approach MacArthur Boulevard.
