of in of 1916 45 a 2274; by 2 one New Hovic Harry Yates Hovie Harry Yates, 76, of Fairview Drive, Murrysville died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday at Citizens General Hospital, Kensington. He had been ill since last November. Born Aug. 4,1899 in Clarion County, a son of and Johanna (Seybert) Yates, he had resided in the Camp Joan area for the past 16 He was the Westmoreland County assessor from 1951 to 1959. Prior to this, he was in automobile business as sales manager for several dealers New Kensington. He was a member of Presbyterian Church and Loyal Order of Moose 53, both of Kensington. Surviving are his wife, Alice (Bowser) Yates; three sons: Ralph L. of Greensboro N C Cecil H. of Harrisburg and James H. of New Kensington- brother, Walter J. of Altoona- two sisters, Mrs. Dessie Whittaker of Kittanning and Mrs. Clara Cummings of Staunton, Va.; eight grandchildren grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Anderson, died in 1969. YATES -- Friends of Hovie Harry Yates, who died Aug. 24, 1975, may call from 7 to this evening and 2 to 4 and 9 p.m. Tuesday at Ross G. Walker Funeral Home, 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Kensington. Service will be conducted conducted there at io a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. London of New Kensington United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be made in Greenwood Memorial Park. Lower Burrell. Arrangements by Walker.
