Woodlief John Plummer Woodlief, of Rt. 3, High Point, died at noon Friday in High Point Memorial Memorial Hospital. He had been critically ill since entering the wspital 3% months ago. Mr. Woodlief was bora in Henderson May 6,1876, a son of William H. and Amy Overton Woodlief. On Nov. 15, 1899, he was married to Miss A n n Hight. He had been a resident of the High Point community since 1927, coming here from Henderson where he had been engaged in the mercantile busi ness. After coming to H i g Point he owned and operate; a meat packing business until retiring 19 years ago. He made his home with a daughter, Mrs Eariie (Blanche) Cox. He was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church, Henderson. Surviving are six daughters Mrs. Cox of Rt. 3, High Point Mrs. Roscoe (Hazel) Crowson of Trinity, Mrs. Gurney (Paul ine) Hinkle of Rt 4, High Point Mrs. Ralph (Dorris) Bulla o Rt. 3, High Point, Mrs. E. 0 (Ruby) Faulkner of Henderson and Mrs. 0. H. (Beatrice) Freeman Freeman of 1203 McCain PL, High Point; one son, W. B. Woodlief of Randleman; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Sechrest Chapel by Rev. Ivan A. Stevens, pas tor of Archdale Methodis Church, and Rev. Isaac Harris minister of Archdale Friend Meeting. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery The body will remain at Securest Securest Funeral Home.
