But the results of whatever solution we accept accept will ait'ect every child in Angleton — this '.ear an.! the ;. ears ahead. Under the ''Freedom of Choice Plan' 1 which the school board has adopted, 70\ of the children at one elementary school will I 1 * 1 non-whites, while the other two elementary schools -A ill have 2 01 nonwhite nonwhite students. This will result in serious racial imbalance in the three elemental-;, schools, and will prolobly establish a trend leading toward seprefated elementary elementary schools. This would be disastrous for our children children as well as our fine town, The natural solution is much simplier than the problems we will encounter under the present present plan. We should apportion white and non- white students to the elementary schools ona basis of eaual ratios. Our children will learn to cope with their problems in the manner in which they see us approach our problems.
