Obituary of Sarah Cecilia Pelly (nee Kinsey)
Mrs. Sarah C. Pelly Mrs. Sarah Cecelia Pelly, 90, passed away in the Chilliwack hospital yesterday morning. Funeral will be held Friday at 1:30 in St. Thomas' church, Rev. V. J. T. Clarke officiating. Memoriam service for the late Mrs. Pelly will be part of the morning worship at St. Thomas' church Sunday. Pall bearers will be S. Pugh. R. L. Ramsay, E. J. Edmonds. K. Pugh, A. S. Watson and Hugh Laughlin. Born in Llanetlloes. North Wales deceased came to Canada at the age of two years and settled at Braeebridge, Out. She has lived in Chilliwack since 1893 and married the late Justinian Pelly at Holy Trinity, New Westminster in 1894. Mrs. Pelly took an active part in community affairs and was an enthusiastic IODE worker during World War I. She was untiring in her efforts for the Altar Guild and Women's Auxiliary of the Church of England. Surviving are two sons. Acton F. and Raymond S. I.. Chilliwack and a daughter, Mrs. F. (Miriam) Donovan of Melville, Sask. There are seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Gerald Cross resides in Victoria.
