canoe ViaetxiA Elvctiok. We have now heard from all the conn ties in Virginia except three, sending two delegates. One of them (Scott county in Little Tenneaaeel haa always riven a democratic majority. There is then no doubt but the result is sslavorahie as ran be expected by the Opposition. The Senate is eauallv divided. Atter all the exaltation on the Dart of tha Federal ista about the trinmph in Virginia, let us scan it, and see with how much reason thev rejoice. I. It will be observed tbat the democrats have a clear gain of one member in the House of Dele gates. Z. The Federalists carried one of their delegates in Buckingham county by the casting vote of the she riff the other bv two majority. This election is contested for fraud :tent votes polled by the federalists. and there is scarcely a doubt but that the democratic candidates are entitled to their seats. The reversal of this return, and eivine effect to the polia as closed in Caroline, would make it a tie in the House aa well as in the Senate eivmc the opposition th. member irom w ythe, who is pledged to vote tor senators as his constituents of that democratic county may vote in the Presidential election in the fall. Even supposing then the election in Buckineham to be fair and irreversible, the federal party can only boast of the power to carry Mr. Rivas by a majority of two ofthe popular votes. i. it is worthy of remark, that, besides Buckings ham, Hanover. Spottsylvama, and Powhatan, which we have set down to the Federalists in our table, are all contested. The resident majority of the legal voters voters in all those counties is unquestionably on the aide of tbe Administration. The Federal newspa pers cannot with docency deny it. AH these conn' ties were earned by votes from Richmond. It tn be lieved that more than a hundred citizens of Rich mond voted in virtue of deeds to land and stocks in the surrounding countries. Some individuals voted we are assured, ss many as five times. Where man is bona fide owner of lands in several counties, of the value of 25, he ia entitled to vo'e ir. the several several counties. But where a fictitious title is made bv deed to constitute such right to vote, it is a fraud. It was in this way that many of the Federal votes were manufactured, to carry tne counties reicrrea to, that b majority of ES votes, in the aggregate, fives the counties of Hsnover. Spottsylvama, and Pen dleton. to tbe Whigs. There are two other counties tn striking distance oi Richmond, which wore carried bv verv meagre ma jorities Charlotte by 6, and Prince Edward bv 1C votes ; but we have not heard ot irauds having oeen committed there. Persons residing in Richmond hsveja right, under the constitution of Virginia, to vote in every county in the state, in which they own land. Globe. The table to which reference ia made in the above remarks, shall appear at another time. ble to of all a
