Admits Stabbing Wichita Waitress Wl<jniTA IB—Police said Saturday Saturday -William 1 Bircher, 22, had admitted admitted that he stabbed Mrs. Mary Brady, a 34-year-old waitress. Mrs. Brady's body, bearing four •tab wounds in the chest, -was found Thursday night under a porch at the home of Bircher's parents. Detective Captain R. B. Price said Bircher gave this account: During an argument on a date he stabbed the woman and put her body in an old barracks .bag. He carried the body for a block and left it onia street corner while he went into a cafe to call a taxicab. He then had the driver take him to the home o£ his parents where he hid the body under the porch. Price said the youth, an em- ploye of a Wichita manufacturing plant, had be-sn questioned for about 24 hours. Price said the youth had been receiving psychiatric psychiatric treatments. Bircher did not live with his parents, but lived in a. room in the downtown section, police said.
