"THE TOAD" TO HOP FOR BENEFIT OF PARK BOYS Aatolae Club Will Give Performnnee at Bertha Newberry's Drama at Valencia Theater Members of the Antoine club are preparing preparing to hop Into the limelight at the Valencia theater December 26. when they will present 'The Toad," a drama written by Bertha Newberry, for the benefit of the Columbia Park Boys' club. When first presented last July by members of the literary colony of Carmel-by-the-Sea Carmel-by-the-Sea the play created something something of a sensation. The Antoine club, of which I_.ouis A. Steiger is president, president, is closely affiliated with the forest theater movement. h«oth ideas having originated at Carmel in the brains of Michael Williams and Marie Coe, both newspaper writers. Perry Newberry will appear in the r«]p he created In the Carmel production, production, as will other members of the original cast. Garnet Holmes is acting acting as director. These officials of the Antoine club are active in arranging this second production: Mrs. D. E. F. Easton, secretary; Miss Loll a Grant, Mrs. Edwin Stadtmuller. Mrs. Marie Coe and Mrs. Norman Martin, directors.
