Howard Shook GALVESTON, Ind. — Howard E. Shook, 60, 301 Raleigh Road, died at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug.22,1995, at Howard Community Hospital. Born Sept. 28, 1934, in Kokomo, he was a son of Dewey and Esther (Dunn) Shook. Aug. 23, 1975, he married Velda (Nearon) Shook, who survives. He worked for Crescent Dairy and the Cone Palace, in Kokomo, and was retired from both. He attended the Galveston United Methodist Church and served in the Army in the Korean War. He lived in Howard and Cass counties most of his life. Surviving are one step daughter, Deborah Crockett, Burlington; five brothers and their wives, George and Nancy Shook, Kokomo, Everett and Helen Shook, Kokomo, Donald and Nancy Shook, Kokomo, Edward (Bill) and Betty Shook, Louisville, Ky., and Richard and Mary Shook, Phoenix, Ariz.; and two step grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two sisters and his parents. Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Saturday, at Murray Funeral Home, Galveston chapel. The Rev. Jonathan Gosser will officiate. Burial will be at Galveston Cemetery. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
