Close of tho National NEWARK, N. ,T., July 8.— The closing lay of the great National Saengerfest >egan yesterday with a big parade, ;here being 10,000 men in line. Theline ncluded German singers, turners, marksmen and citizens, while the city officials, honorary presidents and invited guests occupied carriages. When ;he paraders reached the park they 'onnd fully 10,000 people there. Presi- lent Carl Lentz then .announced the irizes as follows: First class. Philadelphia Mreimerchor, tho Schubert bust, irst prize. Second class, first prize, Quartet club, of Philadelphia; second :>rize, Harmonic club, of Baltimore. The other clubs to win prizes in the dif- 'erenfc classes were: Somgerbvmcl, Washington; Anon, New Haven, Arion, Jersey City; Deutsche Liederkranz, Brooklyn; Concordia, Philadelphia; Franz Schubert, New York; Arbeitar Moenncrchor. Elizabeth, N. J.; Knights of Honor Singing society, Now York; ?red G-luck quartet, Brooklyn.
