Mr. Mar - The Opelousas Courier, of the 9th but., has the following account of an affray in which three citizens of St Landry were the parties t From what we have beenable to gather upon this subject, it appears, that Messrs. Veillant Chacherpere and B. A. Martel, tel believing him to be about firing it on Cbacherepere, seized a gun which they had in the buggy and fired at Richard. The parties separated, and on the next day Cbachere went before a Justice of the Peace aud made an affidavit confirming what we have just said. Mr. Richards s wounds are light, as the gun was loaded with small shot. We are informed that Martel and Richard have given bond and security for their appearance appearance before our next District Court
