1975 July 2 Food Demonstration Contest
4-H'ers Recognized For Food Skills Twenty-four Madison County 4-H'ers demonstrated their food preparation skills Monday In a County Beginning Food Demonstration Contest. All were ages 8-12. Each participant selected and demonstrated a product related to their current 4-H foods project. project. The demonstrations were then judged by older 4-H members members and the Home Economics summer assistant. The judges gave special recognition recognition to five demonstrators who did a superior Job with their presentations: A n n Helms,. Edwardsville, demonstrating demonstrating "German Pancakes Â·with Peaches"; Patrice Stock, Troy, "Eskimo Cookie*" ( Debra Burnett, "Chips and Dips", Pat Smith, ''Pumpkin Bread", and Todd Burns, "Corn Bread" all of Granite City. Other youth receiving an A rating were: Henee DeHousse and Cindy Cornwell f both of Edwardsvllle; Kathl Kow, Troy; Susan Gvillo, East Alton; Alton; Danita Taylor, Venice; Joan Landmann, Highland; Lynda Loftus, Laura Jenness, Janet Burnett, Christina Kessler, Kessler, Susan Basarich, Mary Loftus, Amy Oberdieck and Gracie Smith, all of Granite City.
