2B - THE OSDEN (UTAH) STANDARD-EXAMINER · SUNDAY MORNING, MAY 11. 1947 Miss Barbara Weeks Will Marry Monie DeHaan on May 26 Highlighting nuptial, new* in-fattendingt Ogden this week is the announcement of the engagement and forthcoming marriage of Miss Barbara Weeks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Weeks, and Monie DeHaan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. DeHaan of 2332 Harrison blvd. A -church wedding is planned for May 26 in the Episocpal church of the Good Shepherd with only members of the immediate families Italy. Both. · are graduates of Ogden high school and avid skiers, Mr. DeHaan being president of Snow Basin ski club and Miss Weeks member of the ski patrol. Miss Weeks attended Smith's college and 'is a. member of the Welfare league of Ogden. Mr: DeHaan served with the U. S. army in the Tenth Mountain Division Bridge Luncheons Held at Golf Regular Dinners Will Be Served There was a buzz of gaiety at the-*-Mrs. Wendell Thomson, Miss Barbara Weeks will be a May bride. Her engagement and forthcoming engagement to Monie DeHaan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. DeHaan, 2332 Harrison boulevard, is announced today by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Weeks. (Link-Tiffany studio.) Ogden Golf and Country club on Friday afternoon, as a number 'of its members enjoyed the first of the season regular hostess luncheon. A no-host table with Mrs. J. J. Dunbar in charge, held places for six. Mrs. Ronald Wadsworth entertained members of her bridge club including Mrs. W. R. Brown, Mrs. A. W. Petty, Mrs. Henry W. Nelson, Mrs. Le Roy B. Young, Mrs. Henry C.. Stranquist, Mrs. 'Vern L. Ward r Mrs. Adalbert C. Brown, and Countess Gian Luca Cicogna of New York City, as a special guest. Mrs. Clair Boyle was hostess to a group of eight. Foursomes included, Mrs. Adam Patterson, Jr., Mrs. Heber Hancock, Mrs. Junior Edward ren B. West Mrs. Donald E. and Mrs. Harding Horsley: Mrs J. S. Allen, Mrs. C. C. Hetzel, J. Warrlngton Stokes, Mrs. Wad M. Johnson. On Wednesday afternoon forty two members attended the Lad Golfers' luncheon. Hostesses for th day were Mrs. Patrick Healy, Jr and. Miss Ruth Young. Miss Spargo and Mrs. John B. Goddar will be hostesses for next Wednes 'day and an invitation is extender to all club members. Club members will have som place to take their guests for din ner this evening, as the regula dinners will be served at the clul tonight' They also are being served this year on Wednesdays, Thurs Rich and Mrs. Wallace H. Ellis; days and Saturdays. Social Activities Gain Prominence
