HIGH POWER GUNS USED IN MAKING ARRESTS Carthage, Mo., Feb. 19.—Joe H. Greenup and Frank Presley, two Carthage young men, were arrested late today on warrants charging them with grand larceny in connection with the burglary oft the home of Mrs. M. F. O'Keefe in Casail place. Several large rugs which had been taken off the floors, a large quantity of silverware, including a solid silver bowl and vase, several pieces of cut glass as well as small articles of furniture was among the loot taken from the home. Upon seeing the officers approaching, the two* men attempted to make their escape by wading the river, but several shots fired from a high-powered rifle by Marshal Hawkins as the men were running across a field caused both to raise their hands above their heads and wade back across the river to the officers.
