' Community Musical Contest Sponsored by the local parent- teacher associations, there will bo a community musical contest Thursday Thursday evening, May 5, at 8 o'clock, at the municipal building, lu which the three junior high schools and a number of the graded schools will participate. To the winning school will be presented a handsome trophy,, trophy,, the formal presentation being made by Hon. Brnard McClaugherty. A slght-slnging demonstration will feature the program. The public is cordially invited to attend the exercises, which are under the supervision supervision of Miss Elisabeth Sheiton. Judges in the contest are to be: Miss Gertrude Watts, Mrs. F. T. Ridley, Mrs, P. S. Barrow. MrB. C. G. Harris and Mrs. J. C. Nlcliolls. Mothers will act as .ushers for tho affair, and will - represent the various various schools, as follows: Wade—Mrs. J. E. McMullin and MM. Paul C. Thomas. Ramsey—Mrs. John Goodykoontz and Mr*. L. J. Cutler. Fairvlew—Mrs. P. M. Stump and Mrs. E. M. Gillespie. Preston—Mrs. Robert Peters and Mrs. Z»ck Hendrson. East End—MM. Arnold Hurd and Mrs. T. Courtney Tanner. Hancock—Mrs. H. F. Totten and Mrs. R. L. Lyle. North Side— Mrs. Wilson G. Dunn] and Mrs. E. J. Umberger.
