Walter Moore, won fame in the battle of the Solomons as the "indestructible marine," marine," died late yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Olive Webster, 520 Prospect street, this city. She had been ill only a Mrs. Moore, widow of the late Eugene Moore, had lived here the daughter for two years. She leaves a son, Charles K. Moor* San Francisco, and six other grandchildren.
