deceased. S-1»UJ JULIA M. MOOKE (Tines Reiirood City Burea SAN CARLOS, April 25.--Mrs. Julia M. Moore, 88, grandmother of Marine Sgt. Walter Moore, won fame in the battle of the Solomons as the "indestructible marine," marine," died late yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Olive Webster, 520 Prospect street, this city. She had been ill only a Mrs. Moore, widow of the late Eugene Moore, had lived here the daughter for two years. She leaves a son, Charles K. Moor* San Francisco, and six other grandchildren. Interment will be at St. Paul,' Neb., according to Franklin · Crowe mortuary. Redwood City. The grandson, Walter, survived numerous eiabbings with pitchfork* and bayonets in a single-handed encounter with the Japs after tank was disabled, and accounted for numerous enemy dead. He still on duty in the Pacific.
