2 Killed In Crash Near V erudition VERMILLION AP--Two Mis- souri men were killed near Saturday afternoon when their semi-trailer truck, loaded with steel pipe, apparently blew the left-front tire, roared across the median of a divided highway, grazed a car bound in the site direction and came to rest upside down in the opposite Killed instantly were the truck driver, Willis R. Owens, 41, and 39-year-old Antonio C. Pinental, both of Vanduser, Mo. Their truck was northbound 1-29 about eight .miles east of here when, officers said, the tire blew, tossing the 35-ton ve- hicle out of control. When the truck shot across divider toward his car, Peter Almesteir, 2604 S. 35th St., Oma- ha, Neb., managed to shift his vehicle to the left and into the ditch. The truck just nudged rear fender. Almesteir and two passengers were treated and re- leased at a Vermillion hospital. They were H. C. Rasmussen, 1034 Turn Blvd., Omaha, and 14-year-old Edward Almesteir, 2143 S. 35th St., Omaha. The two deaths raised the Dakota traffic toll for the year to 130 compared with 144 a ago today.
