Young People Spread ‘Joy’ At State Fair (Concluded from Page 1) theater looking 30 degrees cooler than the audience—even at the 6 p.m. final show. The young men in the group have, collectively, a bale of long hair—nearly as much as the girls. “My idea of doing this,” Edyvean said, “is to tell the visitors to the fair—‘Look. Here are some young people from the State of Indiana. They’re young and they’re modern, but they’re committed to something- otherwise they wouldn’t be doing this.’ ” Edyvean hopes to stage “Joy” at next year’s fair, too, for 10 days instead of four, if possible. Credit for the performance is due also to Dick Laughlin, director, and Sally Miller, choreographer— both of Indianapolis.
