A very enjoyable evening Tjjas spent by those who attended the gathering' at the home of Mr..and Mrs. Fred Dennis on Franklin avenue, in of Mrs. Dennis' brother who has re- cently returned from overseas service with the 112th M. G. Bn. of the Division. i i A number of games were played, and there was dancing and a moonlight moonlight boat ride on the Leclaire Later in the evening dainty refreshments refreshments were served. 1 Those present from this city -were: Misses Irene Stutzer, Esther Shupack, Hazel Stallman, Edith Marks, Lora' Glass, Thelma Koogle; Mr. and Mrs. I Fred Dennis, Norval Koogle, 0onald Gowan and Vernon Helm. Those from out of town were: R. J. Anderson, of Linn Grove, Miss Lillie Pizzini, Arthur Jedlisko, Vernon Groteka, Glen Carbon; Miss Helen Kabureck, Alton; Joseph F. | Drury, of Carbondale; and Drury, of St. Louis.
