miss ellen shaffer: dead End Came at the Home of Her Slater, ; Mrs. Sol Beldler, Monday Morning : 1' Miss Sabina Ellen Shaffer, who at one time lived in Waterloo, and a few months . ago came back - to this place and made . her home with her - sister, Mrs. Solomon W. Beidler, died Monday forenoon at about nine o'clock, after a protracted illness. The funeral was held yesterday, and' the interment took place in the Waterloo cemetery. Rev. A. Geist, of the Evangelical church, officiated. " ' v" ; ' : ' ,: ' ' 'Sketch of Her Ufe - ; Jacob and Matilda Shaffer, was born in Champaign county, Uhio, Feb. 28, 1856.-: She moved with her parents from Ohio to Indiana, - and settled ' in Waterloo. ' A part of her life she spent in Toledo, Milwaukee and Kansas City. She returned from the west to Waterloo about three months ago, : sick, and made her home with her sister, Mrs. Sol Beidler. She gradually declined in health until she passed away Nov. 3, 1913; aged 57 years, 8 months' and 5 days, j Two words describe her character and life. She was good and kind. Some days before she paused away she seemed to have a presentment that she would not recover, and when spoken to in reference to the future expressed a good hope of a better life beyond. She leaves two brothers and five sisters to mourn their loss. . ;' ; v ; " Card ok Thanks.
