Children Hurt, Auto in Flames in Valley Crash A serious accident involving five occupants of one car and three of another occurred about 1:45 last Saturday Saturday afternoon, when cars driven by Mrs. H. N. King and Wm. Whitaker Whitaker of Covina boulevard, Baldwin Park, collided at the.interseetion of Merced, avenue and Vinelaud. Mr. Whitaker is zanjoro for the Boulevard Boulevard Water company. Mrs. King was driving west on Merced and l;ad with her a. house guest, Mrs. Halloy, and little son, M'?s Margaret Goheeu, and also her BOH, Harry Milton King. Mr. Whit- likor was going north on Viuelaud, and with him were Dorothy Wilson, 13 years 'old, and Walter Wilson, seven, years old, children of Mrs. Frances Wilson of 310 Oovina boulevard. boulevard. Both cars turned over, the King ear hitting a telephone pole. To add to the confusion, the Whitaker car caught fire. The two Wilson children arid their driver were all takeu. to the Covina hospital, Dorothy having her shoulder shattered and Walter a badly fractured elbow, both little bodies being badly bruised. Whitaker Whitaker remained in the hospital several days, escaping without broken bones. The occupants of the King car were not injured, aside from slight bruises, and nervous shocks.
