Scrivener, Berg V score mild upset in men's doubles The men's doubles' team of Frank Scrivener and Art Berg came up with a mild upset in a semifinal match of the Anne Arundel County Open Tennis Tournament yesterday afternoon. Scrivener and Berg, seeded third, elimated the No. 2 seeded duo of Bobby Bayliss and Steve Kahn, 7-5, 6-4, to move into the championship round of the men's doubles. Scrivener and Berg will face the top-seeded team of Jim Busick and Rich Bailey for title at 12 noon today at Arundel Community College, the site of the tournament's sixth annual production. Busick and Bailey advanced to the finals by downing seed Bob Conroy and "Bob Burns, 6-1, 6-2, in the other semifinals' match yesterday. Jim Busick also will be involved in the battle for the men's singles crown when he faces Bailey at 10 a.m. today the title match of that competition. Jim Busick, the top seed, defeated his brother Bill, who was unseeded, 6-2, 7-5, in their semifinal match yesterday, while Bailey had advanced by upsetting No. 2 seed Bayliss Thursday's action. Bailey is seeded third. Jim Busick is the defending. men's singles champion, winning the title over Bayliss, who had won the crown two straight years before last year's championships. The championship of the over-45 men's singles win be contested today between No. seed Ron Ament and Scrivener, second seeded, at 10 a.m. The finals of the mixed doubles will get underway at p.m. today, with a battle between No. 1 seed Mark Geirer and Anne Ueirer and second seeded Sich Bailey and Joyce
