Garrett Barry, a well-known well-known well-known and respected respected citizen and good soldier of the Eighth Alabama, died to-day, to-day, to-day, aged 62 years. He was a native of county Clare, Ireland. He came to Mobile in 1847. He was a member of Mechanics' i ire Company Company No. 7. J.W. Miles, a delegate to the laborers' convention here from New Orleans, was shot at by Spencer Noel, a Mobile negro, to-day. to-day. to-day. All colored. Cause jealousy. Spencer fired three times and succeeded in hitting a colored boy named Garston wound.
