LUKE GOULDIE RED CLOUD, Neb. - The funeral for Luke Gouldie, 72, Smith Center, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Simonson-Williams Funeral Home, Red Cloud, the Rev. F.J. Leiblinger officiating. Mr. Gouldie died Thursday at the Red Cloud Hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1909, in Smith County and was a lifelong resident of the area. He farmed until retiring and moving to Smith Center in 1974. His first wife, Florence, died in 1967. In 1969, he married Josephine Shigley, who survives. Mr. Gouldie was a member of the Over 60 Club at Lebanon and Smith Center and the Musical Mothballs, Smith Center. Beside his wife, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Cathryn L'Heureux, Campbell, Neb., and Mrs. Phyllis Giger, Guide Rock, Neb.; a son, Danny, Inavale, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Mina Mathew, Inavale, and Mrs. Verla Boner, Red Cloud; a brother, Cecil, Inavale; eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Red Cloud.
