Two Children Die in Blaze GREENVILLE (UPI) - Two small children lost their lives early Tuesday when a fire raged through their one-story home. The victims' parents and three other children escaped the flames with their lives. Fire Chief Roy Merritt said the victims were Barbara Lyons, 2, and her brother, Robert, 3. He said they apparently died of smoke inhalation. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lyons and another child, Andrew, 4, were overcome by smoke but firemen were able to revive them with a resuscitator, Merrit said. Two other children, Jonathan, 7, and Douglas, 10, escaped the blaze unhurt. Merrit said thÂ« fire department received a call from a neighbor shortly before 2 a.m. and the building was in flames when they arrived. They were able to pull the family from the house but were too late to save the two Merrit said the fire apparently started around he fire place. The victims were taken to United Memorial Hospital here for observation.
