Army Spec. 4 David C. Greene Jr., whose mother and stepfather are Mr. and Mrs. John F. Peters of Warriors Mark RD 1, has participated in the U.S. Central Command exercise Gallant Eagle '84, in the deserts of California and Nevada. This year's exercise provided a simulated combat environment to exercise, train and evaluate the command headquarters and portions of its multi-service forces in tactical employment operations in the desert. Ground maneuver operations were conducted at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Fort Hunter- Liggett and the Marine Corps air ground combat center at Twenty-nine Palms, all in California. Air operations were held on the three reservations and surrounding airspace and at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Air support for the exercise was staged from George and March Air Force Bases and El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in California. Greene is an anti-armor weapons crew member with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky. His father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. David C. Greene, reside at 1219 Warden, Benbrook, Texas. The specialist's wife, Sharon, is the daughter of Patricia A. McCauley of 2108 Eighth Ave., Altoona, Pa. Greene is a 1978 graduate of Tyrone Area High School.
