bassador, the advices state. COLORED STARS TO PLAY TENNIS Colored Branch of Y. M. C. A. Plans Annual Tournament Drawings were completed yester day and final, plans made for the tennis tournament under the auspices of the local colored branch of the Young Men's Christian Asso ciation. Numbered among the members of the association are several expert tennis enthusiasts who play daily on the courts of the local parks and playgrounds. Two cups have been offered, one by Dr. C. H. Crampton and the other by Shenk and Tittle Sporting Good Store for the winners in the singles and doubles events. Courts have been reserved for next week at the Twelfth street playgrounds. Sunshine Park, for the contests. Beginning Wednesday afternoon the preliminaries will be played. The semifinals and the conclusion of the preliminaries are expected to be finished up by Friday night and on Saturday the finals will be played off between the hours of 2 and 5 o'clock. Much interest has been manifested in the announcement of the plans for the tournament and it is expected that large crowds will watch the events.
