In the mathematics department are Mrs. Joan Adler, Mrs. Marian Anderson and Howard Kaufman. Lawrence Eyler joins the physical education department and Margaret Sturm joins the foreign language department. In the social studies and English department are Cynthia Ionian, Steven Ort, Mrs. Judith Debin, Lynn Wythe and Anita Sabovich. Max Dzitzer, former English and history teacher at Parkman is registrar this semester. He has replaced A. M. McBride who retired in June. * * * TWENTY-EIGHT pupils have been named Patriots in the A-8 honor organization. They are Frank Baum, Lisa Bruce, Sandy Burkhard, Ellen Cadwallader, Jim Chase, Marie DeFay, Barry Frank, Alan Grobman, Diane Hem- treet, Jill Johnson, Karen Kelley, Alan Klein, David Knowles, Linda Kosh, Terri Ann Kuret, Ellene Levenson, Terry Leiberstem, Debra Lewis, Paul Misetich, Alec Nedelman, Blake Pintar, Darryl Schoen, Dennis Schoen, Alan Schulkln, Steve Snyder, Lee Venolia, Jan Viele and Debbie Zebkar. Patriots are A-8s who were outstanding in service, activities and scholarship in the B-8 semester Each member receives a Liberty Bell emblem. * « * A LIGHT SHOW highlighted the activities of the party sponsored by Junior Council Pupils who presented the show are Gary Card A-8, Tom Schaeffer A-8 and Jerry Tyler A-8 B-7s were admitted free this ·welcome party. Junior Council!officers are Julie Crosby B-8, president; Cindy Kelh'n B-8, girls vice president; Sue Handy B-8, secretary, and Joe Medina B-8, boys vice president. * * * GROUP SINGING and an impromptu play highlighted the events at the recent GAC signup party. In attendance were 310 pupils. Songs were led by Barbara Friedman B-9, Terry Lieberstein B-9 and Sandy Burkhard B-9. The skit given by the officers showed guests why they should join GAC. Mrs. Pamela Hampton, adviser, then told the girls of GAC activities for the semester. Officers for this semester are Barbara Friedman B-9, president; Connie Cordeiro B- 9", vice president; Judy Heller B-9, secretary; Heather Phillips B-9, artist; Sandy Burkhard B-9, entertainment; Terri Lieberstein B-9, publicity manager; Robin Wise B-9, team sports manager; Gina Goodman B-9, individual sports manager; Melissa Minton B-9, food chairman; Janice Matenky B-9, office manager; Maradee Kerr B-9, Ms- Assigned to Asia Army Pfc. Eanald Salustn 19, son of Mrs. Grace Salustri, 7837 Tampa Ave, Reseda, was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division near Dau Tieng, Vietnam, as a wire- man. torian, and Kim Smith B-9, president elect. * * * BOXING, camp crafts, weather study, nature exploration and a visit to a museum were among the activities of the girls who attended the Clear Creek trip recently. All campers were under the supervision of Mrs. Pamela Hampton, youth services sponsor. Camp activities were directed by a trained camp staff from Clear Creek of the Los Angeles city schools.
