Spring Mills girl, 5 struck by car, dies MILLHEIM - A five-year-old Centre County girl died at 3 p.m. Thursday after being struck by a car on Route 45 in Penn Twp., 1 '/2 miles west of here. Pronounced dead at the scene was Debra L. Molt, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Mott, Spring Mills R.D. 2. Dr. Dr. Daniel' Wolf, of the Penns Valley Medical Center, pronounced her dead on the scene. A broken neck was the cause. The accident occurred as Debra was walking along Route 45 to meet her sister at Penns Valley High School, state police at Rockview said. The car which struck the girl was driven by Robert A. Walters, 23, of Aaronsburg. Another car involved in the accident was driven by Teresa M. Dalkiewicz, 21, of State College. According to state police, Miss Dalkiewicz had to swerve her car to avoid hitting the little girl. However, in doing so, she forced the car driven by Walters off the highway. When Walters tried to get back onto the road, he lost control of his car. It went across the highway, Htruck the girl and a billboard and caromed into a field. State police said the Impact of the crash threw the Mott girl 87 feet into the same field.
