Brig. McElhiney ; Of Salvation Aririy Deeply Mourned High regard for the memory of Brigadier . John Alexander Mc Elhiney, outs landing leader la. the Salvation Army, was shown at his funeral service at the Slater street citadel on Monday noon. The ser vice Was attended by officers and other members of the Salvation Army, staff of Grace Hospital and the Girls' Home, and members of the hospital auxiliary. The service was conducted by Lt Col. Gilbert Best, divisional commander for the Montreal and Ottawa corps. After the .service the body was entrained for Toronto. Toronto. Brigadier McElhiney died on Saturday. . Chief mourners were his widow, former Ensign Annie Newell; three daughters, Mrs. Brigadier Herbert Martin, of Chicago, Mrs. Reginald Cottle, and Lieut Elspeth of Otta wa: four sons, LAC.
