Miracles: Cop pays fine after second cop issues ticket

Two miracles turned up in court today when Benjamin Sturtz, Bronx cab driver, explained explained to Magistrate Alexander Alexander Brough why he was so willing to pay a $1 fine for an illegal left turn. A patrolman ordered Sturtz to make a left turn on Broadway Broadway when fire apparatus answered answered an alarm on Forty-fifth Forty-fifth Forty-fifth street. A second patrolman, patrolman, Arthur K. Hunter, saw the illegal turn and handed Sturtz a ticket. ' After the cab driver told the magistrate this story, Brough suspended sentence and said: "That's a miracle. You take the dollar home and frame it." "Not a chance," Sturtz replied, replied, "I'm going to find that first cop and give him back his dollar." That makes two miracles.
