Harrison Woodland, a former Concord resident who lives in Philadelphia, has celebrated his 50th anniversary with the Chesapeake Life Insurance Co., Baltimore. He began his caeer in 1926 with the Industrial Insurance Co. This later became the American Industrial Life Insurance Co. It was acquired in 1965 by the Chesapeake Life Insurance Co. T h e P h i l a d e l p h i a N a t i o n a l B a n k h a s promoted Herbert E. Bowers of Glen Mills to assistant vice president. He was named residential mortgage department head in 1974. Westinghouse Electric Corp. has announced two appointments for its generation systems division in Eddystone. Donald R. Jones has been appointed manager for long range development while Marc L. Goldberg was named manager for administration and materials control. Jones lives in Wilmington while Goldberg is a resident of Nether Providence. Dr. Richard W. Fetzner of Swarthmore has been named president of Sun Transpprt, Inc., Claymont, the, subsidiary which operates Sun Oil Company's tanker fleet. Manager of regional operations for Sun Oil International, Inc., Fetzner succeeds James I. Plyler who was named manager of Sun Oil's Marcus Hook refinery. Ten employes of the The Wallingford Nursing Center in Nether Providence have been cited for service.
