RECEIVER TAKES BUSINESS. Appointment Explains Absence of Shelbyville Harness Merchant. SHELBYVILLE, Ind,, Aug, 30 --The disappearance of Peter Bierck, 50 years old, a harness merchant, who left here last Sunday, was explained late this noon when Herbert C. Jones was by Judge Blair receiver for Mr. Bierck's business. The appointment c$me in connection connection with a suit filed by the H. V, Bretney Company of Springfield, O ( asking asking $111,85 on an account and alleging Bierck has been insolvent for several months. Other suits for a total of $2,000 had been filed against Bierck. Relatives of Bierck, who did not know his financial embarrassment, started a search for him, fearing he had met foul play* He-was last seen in Indianapolis Indianapolis Sunday night.
