s ANNIVERSARY AT Delightful Event Observed j by Many b nends at City of Ontario (Special Staff Correspondence) ONTARIO, Jan. 9 Iza Dale Home, the attractive residence of Mr. and Mr3. I. V. 'Whitaker, 125 West D street, was the scene of two noteworthy gatherings yesterday, which was the occasion of the silver wedding anniversary of the host and hostess. In the afternon, Mr. and Mrs. Whitaker entertained the members of the G.A.R. and the Woman's Relief I Corps. The afternoon's program 1 opened with the singing of America, : led by Mrs. Princess Long, and Chap-'. lain James Bracewell offered prayer. There were readings by Mrs. Long and i Mrs. Frank A. Geer and "a speech by , the Rev. John B. Toomay. Toward the : close of the aflernoon program. Mrs. ! Anna B. Hayes sang "Will You Love i Me When I'm Old?" after which Mrs. i Long Bang "The Star Spangled Ban-j ner," the company joining: in the t chorus. Late in the afternoon, a col- j lation was served. Present for the afternoon festivity were: Mr. and Mrs. Whitaker, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Steele. Mr. and Mrs. Alois Podrasnik, Mr. and Mrs. A. Waten- paugh; Mr. and Mrs. Casper Limbert, i Mr. and Mrs. H. Incidents of bygone days and recollections of old times were recalled. The host and hostess were ably assisted in entertaining by Mrs. J. P. Ensley and Mrs. H. W.
