Anderson Henry Sr. Funeral services for Anderson Henry Sr., 83, of 507 43rd St., will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Gates officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Strode- Armstrong Mortuary. Mr. Henry died Sunday at the Veterans A d- mmistration Hospital in Houston. He was born in Lafayette, La., and was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of Port City Lodge No. 2069 AFandAM. Survivors include a son, Anderson Henry Jr. of Texas City; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Bell Mapp of Houston, Mrs. Beulah Smith of Texas City, Mrs. Stella Barnes and Mrs. Agnes Joseph, both of Houston; a brother, John D. Henry of Houston; and 26 grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday. Mildred Goodman FRIENDSWOOD- Mildred D. Goodman, 80, of 208 Sunnyview, died Tuesday morning at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Norman Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Friends Cemetery under the direction of Jack Rowe Funeral Home. Mrs. Goodman was born Feb. 27, 1898 in Macena, Iowa. Survivors include her husband, J.B. Goodman of Friendswood; a son, Barnard P. Goodman of Brookside Village, Texas; a daughter, Edith M. Frazier of Conroe; a sister, Dorothy Smith of El Corito, Calif.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Friendswood. Betty J. Woods FREEPORT—Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Woods, 46, of 1318 W. Eighth St., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ma'.loy & Son Chapel, the Rev. Robert Eason officiating. Burial will follow in Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock. Mrs. Woods died Monday night at Community Hospital in Freeport. She was born July 8,1931 in Galveston. A resident of Galveston until she moved to Freeport 10 years ago, she was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, George Woods of Freeport; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia McKay of Galveston, Mrs. Bobby Jean Rae of Lake Jackson and Mrs. Katherine Greenwood of Freeport; two sons, George Woods Jr. and Freddie Woods, both of Freeport; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Reed of La Marque, Mrs. Maybell Jackson of Alta Loma and Mrs. Helen Autrey of Galveston; a brother, James B. Hysmith of Galveston; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Clancy Rae, Charles Greenwood, George Woods Jr., Buck Reed, Michael Reed and James Reed. Dorothy Hill NEW IBERIA, La,— Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Hill, 60, of New Iberia, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, the Rev. Joseph Clay officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthews Cemetery. Mrs. Hill died Saturday at M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. Survivors include her husband, Wilbert Hill of New Iberia; her mother, Beulah Thompson of New Iberia; three sons, Gilbert Hill Jr., Robert HU1 and James Hill, all of New Iberia; three daughters, Claudia Perro and Doris Campbell of New Iberia and Amita Stonnum of La Marque; 32 grandchildren and two greatgrand- children. George L. Long Sr. TEXAS CITY - Funeral services for George L. Long Sr., 53, of 627 Third Ave. South, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Galilee United Methodist Church, the Rev. M. D. Lamb officiating. Burial wil be in Mainland Memorial Cemetery under direction of Mainland Funeral Home. Mr. Long died Saturday at his residence after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Chilton, Texas, and was a construction worker. He was a veteran of World Warll. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ola Mae Long of Texas City; two sons, George L. Long Jr. and Howard Earl Long, both of Texas City; a daughter, Mrs. Ruthie Mae McKee of Texas City; two sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Johnson of Waco and Mrs. Ruby Funtrala TODAY Emma C. Dircks, 82, of Gulf Breeze Apartments, died Sunday; services at 10 a.m. today in Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. John Connolly officiating; burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of J. Levy & Bro
