Parties, Dances Herald Halloween in Area Clubs Today is the day that -witches, goblins, black be seen in lonely places and children will b'e trick or treating, but parties and dances have been heralding e'en's, event for the past week. Saturday night clubs organizations had large planned j -- --;-: ---- ; --parties, but perhaps the largest ones in the area were at the local Valley Hunt' and Pennhills Clubs. The Pennhflls children also had .their part in the fun with a special p'arty for them held yesterday afternoon. Children's Party About 75 children attended that affair with prizes for costumes go- Ing to Norma Graff, Kathy Shay, Amanda Harmon, Stephanie Lincoln, Betsy Lindsay, Edward Gallup, Nancy and Martha Mackowski, Lisa Lindsay, Dorothy Adamson, Michael Morris, and John Maiiland. Prizes for games went to David Dana and Donald Morris. Among the garnet were ducking for apples ·with nickels in them. Judges for the costumes were Mrs. Dan Daly, Mrs. Raymond Price, Mrs. Thomas Lind- gay, and Kristin Kirsch. Among the members attending the Saturday evening party .were Mr. and Mrs. George Blaisdell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wick, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Matson, Mr. and Mrs.'Jaines Woljfe, Mr. and Mrs. K. J. Bre'nnan, Larry Dana, Miss Ann Smith, Mr., Mrs. Hector Boncher, Mr. and Mrs. William McVay, Mr. and Mrs. Cro- ANY time Is MILK-time .well, Lynn Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Earl · Smith, Mr. and Mrs. B. "M. Kirsch, Paul Duke and Bob Harten, Mr. 'and-Mrs. John Selden. Among -the entertainment was dancing and . a musical mimic, Jimmy Caz, Erie, was quite a hit. Valley Hunt" Party The Valley Hunt Ciab had 60 members attending a dinner which was held prior to thelparty. All members came masked · and kept their masks on until dinner. Prizes for the best costumes went to S. Tate and Mrs; Shannon. Decoration in the lounge where the round and square dancing took place Included bales of hay to sit a smiling pumpkin hung from the ceiling and a ten foot revolving scarecrow on the center of the floor. ' Many'of the new members with 'the old members in the 80 attending the party. Among some of the guests were Mr. and Mrs" Howard G,eckler, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Perkins, Mr. and Mrs.'Shannon, and Mrs. Al Dougherty, Mr. and Robert Galey, Mr. nad Mrs. Ed Keating, Mr. and. Mrs. Kenneth Lorch. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Piohl, Dr. Mrs. Steams Pannin and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall LeVie. ·
