IN SAD PLIGHT. The Family of Isaac Roden in Ter- rihle Affliction. Supervisor Jenkins reports that the family of Isaac Roden, near Sheldon, are in terrible affliction. Nearly the whole family had been down with diphtheria and the house was quarantined, quarantined, the neighbors not daring to approach approach it. Roelen is now better, but the oldest daughter, a girl of 13, died, and was buried a few days ago, while a second daughter is dangerously ill with the disease, and only small hopes are entertained entertained of her survival. The family has been utterly worn out by watching, watching, and as the neighbors could not aid without being themselves quarantined, quarantined, they were in desperate straits until Supervisor Jenkins engaged a trained nurse and sent to them.
