Trainmaster A. B. Harrison of FairbAiry was in Belleville Monday of this week with inspection motor car 574. He was on inspection tour. Mr. and Mrs. fi. A. Purdy and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Purdy spent the week-end in-Kfinsas City. J. L. Warner took E. A. Purdy's place. W. R. Foster, train baggage helper laid off Saturday and Sunday and J. H.. Mahan made the trip to Omaha on 26 as train rider on Monday in his place. Francis Esslinger„ trucker- laid oil Tuesday. L. M. Smith filled his vacancy. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Johjison spent Sunday in Blair, Neb., with Mrs. Johnson's mother. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver French were in Fairbury visiting his aunt on Sunday. 4_ Lovewell Miss Pansy Wiriith nin^ at the John Perrill honie in Hardy. -Earl Myers attended the ministerial meeting in Mankato on Monday. Miss Carol Barringor of Kansas City spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Bari ringer. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Lovewell were Sunday guests d'f Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wurth. Miss Hanna Hansen spent the week-end in Concordia at the Alfred Ross home. The Dale Stratman family moved to Alma Thursday where Dale and his father, Raymond Stratman will open a machine shop. The high school put on a one-act play at Mankato Friday night where several other schools in the county competed.
