Leo Charles Welnhold GARFIELD — Leo Charles Weinhold, 72, Garfield, died Saturday, July 24,1993, at the Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend. Mr. Weinhold was born Aug. 1, 1920, at Wilson and was a longtime resident of Garfield. He was a retired District Conservationist for Phillips County. He was an .Army veteran, a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Fort Lamed Lions Club, a past district governor of Larned, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Garfield, and the Maranatha Volunteer Group. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alma M., in 1950, and a son, Roger. Survivors include his wife, Clarice of the home; a son, Dennis G. of Gilbert, Ariz.; a stepson, Theron Ware of St. Louis; two brothers, Lester of McPherson and Gene of Wilson; three sisters, Mary Fishburn of Ellsworth, Myrtle Sittner of Bushton and Melba Wise of Salina; and two grandchildren. A service will be at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Morell Funeral Home.'Larned, the Rev. Stephen Cozzens officiating. Memorials may be made to the Lions Club Leader Dog for the Blind in care of the funeral home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the funeral home, 1021 N. Broadway, Larned, 67550.
