THE OGDEN WEDNESDAY EVENING, member was headed vice congratulated Morgan Fighter Pilot Missing MORGAN, Feb. 28--Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Carrigan, Morgan, had been' notified today by the war department that their son, Sd. Lt. Wendell F. Carrigan, 25, has been missing in action over G e r m a n y Since Feb. 13. Lt. Carrigan is the pilot of a P-47 fighter. He entered the service on Feb. 6, 1943, and took training at Sheppard field, Texas; W i c h i t a , Kan.; San A n t o n i o , T e x a s ; T u l s a , Okla., and Majors Lieut. Carrigran field, Texas. He graduated from single engined aircraft school at Victoria, Texas, on March 11, and left for overseas duty in October, 1944. He has been serving with the Ninth air force, operating from a base in Belgium. He is the holder of the presidential citation, air medal, two bronze clusters and the silver oak leaf cluster for exceptional service. A graduate of Morgan high school, he attended U. S. A. C. Logan. He was a member of L. D. S. elders' quorum of the North Morgan ward and active church and music circles. Prior to his enlistment he was employed as a mechanic at a rage in Morgan.
