17 Star Mar- MORGAN SOCIETY Quilting Party Closes Annual Society Program MORGAN, July 4.--Mrs. Florence Florence Thackery and Mrs. Weltha Heinor were hostesses at a quilting quilting party for the members of the North Morgan Relief society, the event being; the closing of the regular regular meeting for the summer. A five o'clock luncheon was served to nineteen members present. GUESTS OF SISTER Mr. and Mrs. Lem Toone, of Croyden, and Mrs. Cynthia Criddle Criddle spent Wednesday at Farmington Farmington as the guests of their sister, Mrs Clara Steed . Miss Clara Dalquist of Ogden spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thackery. Miss Dalquist left the first of the week with Dr. Dumke" family to spend the summer at West Yellowstone Yellowstone park. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Williams and daughter Alberta returned home Sunday after visiting the past three weeks in California, Nevada and Arizona. Miss LaMar Griddle entertained entertained Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Malan of Ogden, Mrs. Lillian Morton and Mrs. John Murphy and son Shermon Shermon of Oakland, California, at a. dinner Monday evening at her home. Mrs. Fred Parkinson and family family returned home Tuesday from California, where they spent the past two montrre receiving special treatment for their little daughter daughter Betty. Mrs. Lee Feeman and little son of Fresno, California, are spending spending the summer with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chapin. Mrs. Feeman was formerly Miss Ruth Chapin. Mrs. Percy Smith and family accompanied by Miss Rachel Heiner, spent the past week at Burley. Idaho, as guests of relatives relatives there. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Pingree and family are spending two weeks visiting in Riverdale and Ogden, SURPRISE PARTY Mrs. Olivia Horsfield entertained entertained Tuesday afternoon at a surprise surprise party in honor of the birthday birthday anniversary of James Carrigan Carrigan at ranch home of Mr, and Mrs. Carrigan at Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. James Clark and little son are in Los Angeles the guests at the home of their sister and brother-in-law, Mr and Mrs Joseph G Littlefield Mrs Jack Eddington, of Los Angeles, left- for Chicago for a visit with her daughter and family family after spending the past week here visiting relatives * + * EASTERN STAB PICNIC SLATED FOR NEXT WEEK Queen Esther chapter No. 4, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold its annual picnic Sunday afternoon, afternoon, July 12, at Vincent's Mountain. Green park, located fourteen miles from Twenty- fourth street and Washington avenue through Weber canyon. All members are requested to bring a basket lunch, which will be spread at five p. m. Ice cream, soda water and coffee will be furnished by the chapter. Those attending are requested to bring containers for coffee. The committees are: Grounds and conveyance, L, A. Hoover and S. J. Pearce; tables and coffee, Mrs. Marguerite Venable, chairman, assiste'd by Mrs. L. C. Scriven and Mrs. L. H. Lanterman; ice cream and soda water, Mrs. H. D. Porter, chairman, assisted by L. H.
