NEWPORT, Maine (UPI) -. Authorities Wednesday badly decomposed body of a young woman found off a county road here Sunday as Ellen L. Choate, about 24, of the Philadelphia area. The remains of Miss Choate, missing since June of 1975, were found some 15 feet from the highway connecting Newport and Corinna by a local resident, according to Newport Police Chief Charles Jackson. Jackson said there was "an unnatural hole"' in the woman's head, but medical examinations have not yet determined if it was a gunshot wound. Dr. Henry Ryan, chief state medical examiner, said the unburied remains had been there at least a year probably two. Jackson said the woman taught school near Philadelphia and was believed in the Newport area to take a teaching job. Identification was made through a check of dental records.
