Louisiana Tech . 6 Livingston. . 0 LIVINGSTON, Ala. - Louisiana Tech pitcher Mike Galvan scattered six hits and struck out five in leading the Bulldogs to a 6- 0 shutout win over Livingston University at Tartt Field Sunday afternoon. Tech, now 15-9, banged out 11 hits in the game and rode a pair of home runs from Jeff Miller and Ed Beuerlein to take the victory. Livingston's Tigers fell to 13-10 with the loss. The Bulldogs jumped on the scoreboard in the second after Jim Aulds led off the inning with a double, followed by Miller's 10th home run of the season for a 2-0 lead. Tech added a Beuerlein threerun homer in the sixth inning for a 5-0 advantage. The Bulldog catcher's eighth round-tripper of the season brought in Miller and Ken Shamburg, who reached on a single and an outfield error, respectively. Galvan faced the minimum 15 batters through five innings before giving up a double to Larry Lippert to lead off the bottom of the sixth. Tech will host Louisiana College in a single game Tuesday at J.C.
