Lee H. McCorkill ASH GROVE Lee H. McCorkill, 87, Ash Grove, Mo., passed away at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 1999, in Dade County Nursing Home, Greenfield, Mo. He was born in Bird City, Kan., and was a longtime resident of the Willard, Ash Grove and Everton areas. He was a stockman and farmer. A World War I1 Army veteran, he was a member of the Everton American Legion #443, and a past member of the 1.0.0.F. He was a member of the Zion Presbyterian Church, Willard. He and Hazel Marie Smith were united in marriage on March 7, 1935, and together they were privileged to share 60 years. Hazel preceded him in death on April 20, 1995, as well as four sisters. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom Vicki McCorkill, California, and Mike and Myra McCorkill, Greenfield, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Harry Merrimer, Eden Prairie, Minn.; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hollis Lester, Olympia, Wash. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 1999, in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, with the Rev. Dick Menzel officiating under direction of WilsonBrim-Daniel Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today in the funeral home, with formal visitation from 7 to 8 p.m.
