She is Miss Lesley Scholes, 17- year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Scholes, of 153 Danks Street, Middle Park. The Youth Forum, sponsored by the "New York Herald-Tribune,' is attended by representatives of 30 countries. This year it was Victoria's turn to provide a representative. Every school nominated a pupil, and the list was narrowed to 21. then finally to six. The sextette met the judges at 11 a.m. last Friday, and it was not until 5.30 p.m. that the judges Sir John Latham, Mr. Ramsay (Education Dept.) and Mr. Stebbins (United States Consul) announced their decision in favor of the Middle Park girl. Lesley was a pupil at Middle GIRL CHOSEN TO AUSTRALIA 17, Will Attend Youth Forum Park Central School when she wrote her prize essay four years ago. She has since attended MacRobertson Girls' High School, Albert Park, where she is head prefect. Lesley will leave by air on December 31, and will remain in America for three months, meeting the other delegates in conference and visiting various colleges and universities. On her return she will enrol at the Melbourne University to study for her B.A. degree. A charming girl, Lesley has taken her success lightly, although. according to her mother, "the house is upside down as a result." Fond of outdoor sport, Lesley and her elder sister, Florence, have been companions to their father since they were first able to ac• company him on his shooting expeditions in quest of quail and the fast-disappearing humble "bunny." The proud parents have been besleged with congratulations from local friends on the good fortune that has attended their daughter,
