Yesterday, the Quakers tried for the last time, but they showed they couldn't stop it in the snow, either. The Quakers ended one of their more disappointing seasons, squandering opportunities on both sides of the football in a 20-6 loss to Cornell before an announced crowd of 10,126 at snowy Franklin Field. Crews who started their work at 5 a.m. managed to clear most of the five inches of snow that blanketed the turf in time for the 10 a.m. kick-off, but it didn't help Penn, as the preseason Ivy League favorite concluded the year with five straight losses.
