Steven Ray Johnson LEXINGTON - Steven Ray Johnson, 35, formerly of Downs and Lexington, died July 5, 1987, at Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. A graveside service was Saturday at Park Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Wallace officiating. A story is on page A2. Mr. Johnson, who worked for U.S. Customs in Detroit, Mich., was cremated at Glen Oaks Chapel, Oakville, Ontario, Canada. He was on temporary assignment in Canada and had worked for Customs 14 years. He was born June 27, 1952, in Downs, a son of James T. and, Eunice Whitesell Johnson. Survivors include his parents, rural Lexington; three brothers, Calvin, 901 N. Elder St., and Gene, 407 S. McLean St., both Bloomington; and Russell, Elwood; and two sisters, Elaine Tillman, 250 Park City South, Bloomington, and Sue Lacey, Jefferson City, Mo. He attended Tri-Valley Schools eight years and graduated from Lexington High School in 1970. He was in the U.S. Air Force from 1970 to 1974.
