Two bylaws providing for the erection of St. Joseph d'Orieans and Overbrook to the status of police villages were passed. at Carieton County Council' which me: at the Court House yesterday after• noon. Previous objections to the Overbrook proposal having been withdrawn, the third reading of the bylaw was proceeded with after the beginning of the meeting.
