William N. Hilsinger William Norris "Bill" Hilsinger, 85, a 32-year resident of Olympia, died of natural causes Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at Mother Joseph Care Center, Olympia. He was born Sept. 29, 1915, in New York City. Mr. Hilsinger married Molly Toon on May 31, 1968. He was an industrial engineer and computer systems specialist. He was retired from Washington state government. Mr. Hilsinger was a longtime member of the Olympia Sea Hawkers Booster Club. He enjoyed football and was a Seahawks season ticket holder for 20 seasons. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, skiing, boating, his beautiful backyard, music, especially opera, reading and spending time with his family. Mr. Hilsinger is survived by his wife, Molly Hilsinger of Olympia; two sons, William M. Hilsinger of California and Gary O'Neal of Seattle; three daughters, Marilyn Owen of California, Wendy O'Hara of Iowa and Sheri Yonker of Olympia; a brother, Richard Hilsinger of Melbourne, Fla.; two sisters, Barbara Malick and Betty Arnold, both of California; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Roderick Hilsinger. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Community Covenant Church, 5501 Wiggins Road S.E. Pastor Randy Thyberg will officiate.
